The British Virgin Islands is a British overseas territory and is part of a volcanic archipelago in the Caribbean. The British Virgin Islands comprises of 4 main islands and dozens of islets and cays; it is known for boating destinations and reef-lined beaches. Tortola is the largest of the Islands and is home to the capital city, Road Town and the Sage Mountain National Park. The Islands cover a distance of 58 square miles and have a population of around 23,500 people.

There are no direct flights from USA, Canada or Europe to the British Virgin Islands. Travellers usually connect via nearby Islands like Puerto Rico, St.Thomas and  Antigua.
